They failed to do this follow-up and could not perform the repair in a timely manner when the drivability symptoms appeared in December, so I took the car to another shop for the gasket job.

Systematic destruction of the engine of this vehicle took place in a chain-reaction from a simple oil pump failure. The tech replaced camshaft synchronizer but not the belt or pulley stating the belt was like new. Shop replaced the pan gasket, front main seal and an oil-soaked crankshaft damper.
